Peter and Amalia Wolf
Peter Wolf was born in Norka, Russia about 1865, the son of ? Wolf (born ?) and ? (born ?).
Peter immigrated to the United States in 1885.
In 1889, Peter married Sophia Katharina Amalia (Mollie) Brill, the daughter of Constantin and Maria Christina Brill who were also early pioneers in Portland. Mollie was born in December 1869 in Norka.
By 1891, Peter and Mollie were living in Albina on the south-side of San Marino (now NE Knott Street), 10 lots east of Margaretta Avenue (now MLK Blvd.). This is the same address where the Peter Yost family was residing at that time. Peter was working as a teamster.
In 1900, Peter and Mollie were living next to her parents at 401 NE Brazee Street in Portland. They have four sons: Adam, John, Harry and Peter Jr.
At the time of the 1920 and 1930 U.S. Censuses, Peter and Amelia were living at 828 E. 7th St. N. Peter was working as laborer at a foundry and later as a millhand at a local lumber company. Two more children, a son Barney? and a daughter, Edna, are listed on the 1920 census.
Peter was living as a widower with his son Harry and his wife in 1940.
Peter Wolf died on January 28, 1943.
