H. J. Helzer Grocery

H. J. Helzer Grocery was located at 585 NE Union Avenue (now 2801 NE MLK Blvd.). According to the Lovejoy Pettygrove database, this address was the location of the Albina Seventh Day Adventist Church (architect Henry C. Dittrich) in 1901. It is possible that H. J. Helzer was the same person as the Rev. Heinrich Helzer, who became pastor of the First United Mennonite Baptist Church.
