H. J. Helzer Grocery
In 1905, the H. J. Helzer Grocery was located at 585 NE Union Avenue (now 2801 NE MLK Blvd.). According to the Portland City Directories, this address was the location of the Albina German Seventh Day Adventist Church from 1895 to 1901. H. J. Helzer may be the same person as the Rev. Heinrich Helzer, who became pastor of the First United Mennonite Baptist Church.
