Rev. Edward J. Aschenbrenner
Edward John Aschenbrenner was born in April 1902 in Kansas, the son of Johannes Aschenbrenner (born 1878 in Norka, Russia) and Nathalie Elisabeth Schnell (born 1877 in Norka). Edward's brother, Karl Wilhelm, became a notable academic.
Edward married Lydia Florence Nachtigal. She was born March 26, 1900 in Gregory, South Dakota. The marriage resulted in four children: Stanley Earl (born 1929), Ernestine (born 1936), Wesley Ernest (born 1928) and Lawrence (born about 1931).
Edward was ordained as a Methodist minister and served congregations in small towns across Oregon and Washington.
Rev. Aschenbrenner died on November 10, 1975, and was buried at Lincoln Park Memorial Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
