Gresham Sanitary Service
Gresham Sanitary Service was founded in 1948 by a father and son, Carl and Harlan Lehl. Harlan continued to run the company until 1999. The company continues in operation (September 2013) and is owned by descendants of the same family, Mike (President) and Matt Miller (General Manager).
What began as a humble one-truck, two-man operation has grown into a thriving business centered around 7,000 residential and commercial accounts serviced by 25 employees.
While originally serving only customers in the city of Gresham, Gresham Sanitary now has clients throughout East Multnomah County and is rapidly adding commercial, industrial, and multi-family customers in Portland and Multnomah County.
Gresham Sanitary Service has always been actively involved in the community through the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary as well as a wide variety of committees and programs aimed at meeting the growth educational needs of the citizens and businesses and it is proud to serve.
