Greb's Kitchen and Bath Stores
Victor Rudolph Greb, was the owner of both J. Greb and Son and Greb's Kitchen and Bath Stores. He designed, built and remodeled homes throughout the Northwest. Greb was an award-winning certified kitchen designer, his work was always meticulous and beautiful. He was an active member of the Portland community for many years including serving as a lieutenant governor of Kiwanis and a prime minister of the Royal Rosarians.
Victor was born in Portland on November 11, 1926, the son of Jacob and Anna Greb who emigrated from the Volga region of Russia. Jacob Greb arrived at the port of Galveston, Texas as a bachelor. Anna Schwindt, arrived at Ellis Island, New York. They met and married in the United States. The family initially settled in Kansas City and Jacob worked as a cabinet maker. The family later migrated to Portland. Victor's siblings include: Elvina Beata Greb Weber, Edwin Jacob Greb, and Amelia Greb Schoessler. Victor died on February 19, 2016 and was buried at the Rose City Cemetery in Portland.
