Henry (Heinrich) Trup was born on May 17, 1879, in Frank, Russia, the son of Heinrich Trupp (born 1852) and Anna Elisabeth Bastron (born 1853).
Henry married Maria Dorothea Lebsack on February 10, 1900, in Frank. She was born in Frank on August 20, 1875. Shortly after their marriage, they immigrated to the United States in April 1900. A son, Fred, was born in New York on April 10th.
The family settled near Odessa, Washington, and worked in farming for many years.
Before 1920, the Trupps relocated to Portland. Henry operated a shoe repair business from the late 1930s until 1958, when he retired. He also continued to farm in the Odessa area during part of this time.
The Trupps resided at 4032 NE Mallory.
Henry and Marie are the parents of notables Marie Trupp Krieger and Esther Trupp.
